Residents Invited to Free “Home Ownership and Credit” Workshop on Jan. 13

January 7, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Long Beach residents are invited to a “Home Ownership and Credit” workshop on Wednesday, January 13, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Ave.

The free workshop is presented by Bill Massey and Roger Hinkle from America West Mortgage, and Dale Hutchinson, Housing Services Operations Officer with the City of Long Beach Department of Community Development.

Topics include:

* How to repair and improve your credit and FICO score
* Down payment assistance – What’s available in today’s real estate market?
* Why home ownership versus renting? – What’s the advantage
* Is now the right time to buy a home?

Residents are also invited to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist our Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.
