Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna and other local elected officials along with Sacramento community health care advocates will participate in a ribbon cutting celebration Thursday, November 3, at 11 a.m. at 752B Revere Street to officially unveil a new health clinic named in honor of longtime Land Park health care advocate Steven M. RSVP is offered each year in the month of May by REALTOR® and affiliate members from the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) and neighboring REALTOR® associations to qualified seniors who cannot perform certain household tasks due to physical or financial constraints. The deadline for seniors to apply for this free assistance is April 8.

The City of Sacramento Department of Utilities announces a Spare the Water Alert through Saturday, September 12. Spare the Water Alerts are typically declared when three consecutive days of 100+ degree temperatures are forecasted. With these extreme temperatures over the week, the City is asking customers to cut back on their non-essential water use, only water on their scheduled watering days, and to water only before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
