A state certified residential appraiser, Holmes brings a wealth of real estate and life experience to the desert community.
Along with spending more than 30 years in real estate, Holmes’ experience gives him the knowledge to guide his clients through the transitions of life that are often involved in real estate transactions. As a state certified residential appraiser, Holmes also owned and operated an appraisal company for 10 years. His appraisal background made him an expert in properly pricing and marketing a client’s home, eliminating any confusion on market value and what the listing price should be for their home.

Holmes began his real estate career in 1979 in Orange County while he was working with the Los Angeles Police Department. When he retired as a police commission detective in 1993, Holmes was able to focus on his real estate career and found that the skills from a career in law enforcement directly applied to his newfound career. Attention to detail, working with people, extensive research and impeccable ethics were all skills he brought over in his transition to real estate and are a great value to the detective work of a great real estate agent.
A Southern California native, Holmes graduated from California State University, Long Beach. He honorably served in the United States military with an Army aviation brigade in Vietnam. Holmes and his wife Karin, a registered nurse case manager at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, have children and grandchildren that keep them grounded and experienced with each stage of life.
