C.W. Driver Wins Multi-Million Dollar Gaming and Casino Project at Morongo Resort & Spa
Torrance, CA – December 6, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — General contractor C.W. Driver was awarded a multi-million dollar contract for two restaurant tenant improvement projects totaling 11,000 square-feet at Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa in Cabazon Calif., further solidifying the firm’s presence in the Native American gaming and casino market. Fifteen-year industry veteran Brent Hughes, senior project manager, will be leading the firm’s projects in the gaming and hospitality industries.
The project, which will consist of an extensive remodel of an existing kitchen and restaurant space along with an outdoor patio remodel began construction in October 2012 and is slated for completion in December 2012. Designed by Bergman Walls & Associates, the 7,000-square-foot Tacos & Tequila restaurant will be constructed to embody a blend of Mexico City modernism and elements of Mexican beach style with authentic Mexican fare. The 4,000-square-foot Natural 9 Noodle Company will feature a modern atmosphere with sleek white décor and wood accents.

His past project experience in the gaming industry includes the Quechan Casino Resort, a design-build project that totaled 297,000 square feet and included a five-story, 166-room hotel in Winterhaven, Calif.; Agua Caliente Casino & Addition, a 140,000-square-foot, full-service casino, along with an addition of 15,300 square feet of added gaming space located in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; and Viejas Center Bar, an addition of a 23-position gaming bar located in Alpine, Calif., which was delivered under an accelerated three-week schedule.
