TORRANCE, Calif. – April 6, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Unire Real Estate Group is proud to announce its management of the rehabilitation of a 228,000-square-foot industrial building in Torrance, Calif. on the highly visible intersection of South Vermont Avenue and Knox Street, near the 110 and 405-freeways. Under Unire Group’s management, contractor Norm Wilson and Sons will remove approximately 25,000 square feet of usable space off the rear of the building, creating an additional 12 dock doors from 20-32. The additional doors will create more functionality for a prospective tenant, and appeal to a new generation of tenants seeking a more efficient use of space in the South Bay market.
Although unusual to reduce the square footage of an asset, the functionality will appeal to a larger group of users seeking a more useful space within the very low occupancy market by the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The construction, which started in March 2015, is slated for completion by late summer 2015. Th e building is located at 19500 Vermont Street in Torrance, Calif.
