New Building Code Changes to Take Effect on Jan. 1, 2011
October 8, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- California's Building Standards Code will change in 2011, and all development project and permit applications that are submitted to the City of Long Beach on or after January 1, 2011 must comply with the updated code.

January 13, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Continuing California’s efforts to fight climate change and protect the environment, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the California Building Standards Commission unanimously adopted the first-in-the-nation mandatory Green Building Standards Code (CALGREEN) requiring all new buildings in the state to be more energy efficient and environmentally responsible.
