First Woman on WSP Flack + Kurtz’s Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 31, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Susanna See, PE, LEED AP®, an executive vice president of the international engineering firm WSP Flack + Kurtz and managing director of its San Francisco office, has been named one of Northern California’s Real Estate Women of Influence, announces David Cooper, PE, LEED AP BD+C, president and chief executive officer of WSP Flack + Kurtz.

Specifically, Ms. See received an “Honoree” award in recognition of her “cumulative body of work” throughout her 24-year career at WSP Flack + Kurtz. The awards program is organized by the law firm Allen Matkins in partnership with the San Francisco Business Times. Ms. See was the only engineer to be recognized among the group of 41 formidable honorees.

Ms. See is the first woman at WSP Flack + Kurtz to sit on its Board of Directors, to which she was elected in 2009, and to hold the title of managing director. She is also a director of the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco.

Equally notable are Ms. See’s project achievements. Serving as the principal-in-charge, she has spearheaded a wide variety of high-profile projects for the firm. Recent examples include the Letterman Digital Arts Center, the General Services Administration’s 50 United Nations Plaza, and University of California, San Francisco’s Neurosciences Laboratory and Clinical Research Facility, all located in San Francisco.

Ms. See received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In addition to the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco, her professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.

A resident of San Anselmo, California, Ms. See balances professional life with raising four children between the ages of 10 and 17. Her husband, Todd See, is a senior vice president in WSP Flack + Kurtz’ San Francisco office.
