Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) Along With the City of Pico Rivera Host a Help and Hope Event

Los Angeles, CA – March 8, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County is joining forces with City of Pico Rivera to help families with homeownership. Home affordability is higher now than in the past, this is a great time for families to purchase their first home. Although foreclosure filings in California reached the lowest it’s seen in six years during the fourth quarter of 2012, there are still families struggling to save their homes. Southern California residents can take the first step in the home buying process or saving the home they already own from foreclosure, by attending this FREE event on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

NHS is a HUD approved housing counseling agency, committed to creating lifelong homeownership and neighborhoods of choice throughout the Los Angeles County. They provide Help to families facing foreclosure and Hope to families wanting to buy a home. “Home affordability is at its highest and loan interest rates at their lowest, this is the perfect time to purchase a home and start investing in your future,” shared Mrs. Lori Gay, President & Chief Executive Officer of Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County. “It is great to buy a home but it’s also important for families to get educated and learn about the homebuying process before making the biggest purchase they will make in their lives”, continued Mrs. Gay and NHS can help.

Counselors from NHS along with representatives from Wells Fargo Bank and Chase Bank will be available for families to talk to at the Help and Hope Event. Congresswoman Linda Sanchez is scheduled to speak at the event to her constituents of Pico Rivera, one the cities her congressional district represents.
