Merit streamlines organizational structure offering clients increased access to leadership
Orange County, CA – March 26, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Merit, a FirstService Residential Management company, announces the promotions of Andrew Schlegel, Executive Vice President Community Management Central Region; Katie Ward, Executive Vice President of Community Management, Southern Region; and, Isaiah Henry, Vice President of Business Development. In addition, Scott Mehlberger will expand his role as CFO of Merit and take on the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer.

Mehlberger adds to his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer and will also serve as Merit’s Chief Operating Officer in which he will be responsible for the oversight of Corporate Accounting; Client Accounting; IT/Innovation; Facilities, the Customer Care Center; On Call; and, Merit Rental Management.
Andrew Schlegel, CACM
Executive Vice President Community Management, Central Region
Schlegel will oversee all operations, client relationships, staff development, and new business launch and business development for our Orange County, Greater LA, Downtown LA and Valencia regions. He brings over 20 years of finance and leadership experience and has served as the Vice President of Finance for Merit for more than six years.
Katie Ward, CACM
Executive Vice President of Community Management, Southern Region
With more than 16 years at Merit, Ward will oversee all management operations for three of Merit’s largest regions; San Diego, Inland Empire and Palm Desert. In years past, she has served in a number of roles within the company including the responsibility for Merit’s key client relationships.
Isaiah Henry, CACM
Vice President of Business Development
Henry is now responsible to lead and manage all business development for Merit. This role encompasses every region and both existing takeover opportunities as well as new development business. Previously, Henry was the business leader for Merit’s San Francisco office operations.
