Southern California REALTOR® LeFrancis Arnold to head CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® 2012 Leadership Team
LOS ANGELES, CA – November 18, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) Leadership Team for 2012 is now in place. LeFrancis Arnold is the Association’s 2012 president; REALTOR® Don Faught is president-elect; Chris Kutzkey is treasurer; and Joel Singer is state secretary. The officers for 2012 began their official term earlier this week at the close of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) Conference and Expo in Anaheim, Calif.
REALTOR® LeFrancis Arnold has been a licensed real estate broker for 34 years and a member of organized real estate for the last 35 years. Arnold was president of the Los Angeles County Board of REALTORS® (LACBOR) in 2008, and was the first appointed large Board NAR representative for Rancho Southeast Association of REALTORS® in 2006. He was first appointed C.A.R director in 1994 and was named REALTOR® of the Year by his local association in 1979 and 2008. Arnold has served on numerous C.A.R. committees at the leadership level including the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning and Finance, Housing Opportunity, Housing Affordability Fund, Real Estate Finance, Equal Opportunity and Cultural Diversity, and CREPAC. Active in his community, Arnold has served as chairman of the Lynwood Economic Development Committee and currently is Executive Director of Southeast Los Angeles County Community Development Corp. (SELAC).
REALTOR® Don Faught is a second generation REALTOR® and has been a licensed broker for more than 24 years. He is vice president and managing broker of Alain Pinel REALTORS® in Pleasanton and Livermore, Calif. He served as C.A.R. Treasurer in 2010 and 2011 and has served on numerous C.A.R. committees at all levels, including chair of Federal Issues Committee and chair of Strategic Planning and Finance Committee. Faught has served as an NAR Director since 2002 and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and chair of NAR’s Economic Issues and Commercial Real Estate Trends Forum. As a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® since 1992, a REALTOR® Action fund Contributor since 1990, an RPAC Major Investor, President’s Circle member and a C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund’s Founders Circle member, Faught is committed to serving the real estate industry at all levels..
Chris Kutzkey is a second generation REALTOR® born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a 35-year real estate veteran and a hands-on broker/owner of two successful Coldwell Banker offices in Northern California’s Siskiyou County. She was twice named Siskiyou County REALTOR® of the year. As treasurer, she will chair the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee, for which she previously has served as both member and vice chair. She holds numerous professional designations including GRI and CRB and has won various industry awards, including C.A.R. Director for Life. Kutzkey has served in a variety of leadership roles including the RPA Study Group, Rural Forum, Standard Forms Advisory, IMPAC, and, most recently, as a director for CRMLS. She is an ongoing major donor to the REALTOR® Party.
C.A.R. CEO Joel Singer has held the Association’s top staff position since November 1989 after serving as C.A.R.’s chief economist and heading the Association’s public affairs department. He was instrumental in developing Real Estate Business Services Inc. (REBS), C.A.R.’s for-profit subsidiary, and serves as its president. He also is president and chief executive officer of zipLogix. Singer joined C.A.R. in 1978.
