NEW MEMBERS, OFFICERS ELECTED TO CACM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
LAGUNA HILLS, CA – February 25, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The California Association of Community Managers (CACMSM) has announced a new board of directors for 2011. The board oversees the statewide organization’s programs and activities, monitors legal and legislative issues, and upholds CACM’s code of ethics and standards of practice. Comprised of professional community managers representing nine regions from California, the group also advises CACM on its educational and certification program for community association managers.
Gordon Goetz of Goetz Manderley, a division of the Management Trust in Santa Maria, has been elected chair for 2011, with Melinda S. Young of Walters Management in San Diego elected vice chair. In addition, Vicki MacHale with ARK Management in Cardiff by the Sea has been elected corporate secretary for the association.
Other members of the 2011 board include Doug Christison, the Christison Co., Livermore; René Decker, Classic Property Management, Irvine; Jacqueline Dynes, DyneNamic CID Management, San Ramon; Lisa Esposito, Massingham & Associates, Concord; Patty Garcia, with Millennium Community Management LLC, Santa Ana; and Roy Helsing, the Helsing Group Inc., San Ramon.
Additional board members include Kathryn Henricksen, Merit Property Management Inc., Folsom; Diane Houston, Transpacific Management Service, a division of the Management Trust, Cerritos; Dan Kocal, with Kocal Management Group, a division of the Management Trust, Folsom; Cherié McColley, Menas Realty Co., Chula Vista; Bruce Ratliff, Action Property Management Inc., Los Angeles; William Stewart, Santaluz Maintenance Association, San Diego; Sharon Topping, Merit Property Management, Playa Vista; and Mary Walker, Desert Resort Management/Rancho La Quinta Master Association, La Quinta.

Established in 1991, Laguna Hills, Calif.-based CACM was the first community association management organization in the nation to establish a state-specific educational program leading to the designation of “Certified Community Association Manager” (CCAM®) for industry professionals.
