SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ — The Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association Foundation (WMA Foundation) announced today that it had provided direct financial assistance to residents in a manufactured housing community in Fallbrook devastated by the recent fires. The WMA Foundation has been working with affected mobile home park owners to identify those residents who were not insured and most in need of assistance.
“The WMA Foundation wants to help mobile home park residents in their most desperate time of need. Our efforts to help residents will continue because communication with displaced and evacuated residents has been difficult,” says Bill Schweinfurth, WMA Foundation Co-President.
To date, the WMA Foundation has given a total of $8,000 to 8 residents of the Valley Oaks Mobile Ranch in Fallbrook, CA. The totals will likely increase as the Foundation contacts additional victims.
The WMA Foundation is a California public benefit corporation, established in 2005 for the purpose of enriching the quality of life for all persons living in manufactured housing communities in California who are disadvantaged due to income or circumstance. The WMA Foundation sponsors educational seminars, provides financial assistance for the improvement, restoration or replacement of existing manufactured homes, disseminates informational materials and provides community outreach services.
