Man Charged with Sucker-Punching Homeless Victim at Hollywood Metro Station

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — A 32-year-old man was charged today with assaulting a transient at a Metro station in Hollywood, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

James Anthony Hanson (dob 1/27/84) of Culver City faces one felony count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury with an allegation that he inflicted great bodily injury on the victim.

Hanson pleaded not guilty today in case BA452634 and is scheduled back on Jan. 3 in Department 38 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

On Dec. 13, Hanson is charged with punching the 59-year-old man in the face while the victim looked away from the defendant at the Hollywood/Vine Metro Station, prosecutors said.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Transit Services Bureau.
