Housing Authority Receives Four Star Performance Award for Third Consecutive Year

February 15, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — On January 26 the Los Angeles Worksource Investment Board (WIB) recognized the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles with its prestigious Four Star Performance Award. This is the third consecutive year that HACLA receives the award. The award recognizes the outstanding Workforce Investment Act performance for program year 2009-2010.

Sanford Riggs, Housing Services Director at HACLA accepted the award on behalf of the Housing Authority. Mr. Riggs thanked HACLA President and CEO Rudolf C. Montiel for his leadership and acknowledged the staff for their dedication and commitment to their work.

Housing Authority’s Worksource portals are located in Jordan Downs, Imperial Courts and Nickerson Gardens public housing developments. For the last 21 years, they have provided job training and placement for residents.

This year, the WIB Oversight Committee and the WIB Certification Subcommittee approved an incentive award of $3,000 for all 17 Four Star Performance Award recipients.
