In one of his first moves as CEO, Dworsky has established a regional presence in Gardena, Calif., where he has spent 30 years growing companies — including Dr. Pave — that specialize in road, facility and landscape maintenance. Heatwurx corporate headquarters will remain in Colorado.

“It’s no secret that millions of potholes dot our roadways, alleys and parking lots in Southern California,” Dworsky said. “This move brings our company’s leadership and services closer to the municipalities and commercial property owners seeking permanent pothole repair solutions that are fast, cost-effective and environmentally friendly.”
Rich Giles, the inventor of the Heatwurx seamless restoration process, was instrumental in Heatwurx recently being granted patents regarding certain unique aspects of its equipment.
The company currently holds two patents on the equipment that is used to restore asphalt and repair potholes. By using infrared heat and patented asphalt processors, a pothole repair can be completed by two workers in as little as 30 minutes. The process combines existing pavement with recycled materials and uses electric infrared heat to create a seamless, water-resistant, permanent repair.
As a result, Dr. Pave has already entered into pothole restoration contracts with a number of Southern California municipalities and Heatwurx continues to sell its proprietary equipment to local, state and federal agencies, as well as paving contractors.
“By combining equipment sales with a highly-skilled service provider, we expect to create smoother drives for Southern California drivers, while also delivering cost savings to local taxpayers who have to foot the bill for more expensive, less effective and temporary repair work,” Dworsky added.
Prior to joining Heatwurx, Dworsky was founder and CEO of The Dworsky Companies, which provided statewide commercial landscaping services, from 1985-2011. He also previously served as the CEO of Dworsky Van Herrick’s Environmental Planting.
