Elk Grove Ranks Among Top 20 Cities in the Country to Start a Family
WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — Elk Grove’s s affordability, safety and quality of life amenities have once again placed it among the top cities in the country for young people looking to buy a home and start a family. In a study released this week by LendEDU, an online financial resource site, Elk Grove ranked 18th best city in the country to start a family.
The study evaluated 350 of the most populated cities in the United States across four parameters: 1) Education Quality; 2) Cost of First Home Purchase; 3) Safety; and 4) Percentage of Young Families in the population. Of the 300 cities ranked, Elk Grove was one of only two California cities within the top 20. Murrieta, in Riverside County, placed 11th. Other cities in the Sacramento region to place were Roseville (43) and Sacramento (211). Texas cities took the top three spots.
“Elk Grove is a young, vibrant, growing city and we welcome and invite America’s newest generation of homebuyers, our millennial generation, to make the Elk Grove community their home,” said Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly.
In January, a study commissioned by SmartAsset ranked Elk Grove second in the country for millennial homebuyers. With nearly 100 parks, an award-winning school system, and low crime rates, Elk Grove is a great place to live, start and raise a family. The median value of a home in Elk Grove is $350,300.
