Dr. Pave Works With City of Redlands to Complete Utility Upgrades

A few weeks after announcing the merger of Heatwurx and Dr. Pave, and the appointment of Dave Dworsky as chief executive officer, the innovative asphalt repair service repaired 30 sections of pavement on Dexter Street after an update to water pipes located under the roadway. Dr. Pave’s team completed the job over three days.
“The city is continuously looking for new and innovative ways to improve our utilities and minimize the impact those improvements have on our roads and local residents,” said Bassam Alzammar, Redlands water superintendent. “We worked with Dr. Pave to ensure that these repairs were handled quickly and the result would be permanent.”
Using patented Heatwurx technology, a crew of three men used infrared heat and asphalt processors to combine existing pavement with recycled materials to create a seamless, water-resistant, permanent repair – one that lasts longer than traditional asphalt repair.
According to Dworsky, Dr. Pave’s hot in-place recycling (HIR) method, which has a treatment life of six to 15 years, was used in the eco-friendly repairs to the Redlands road – a treatment that could benefit other municipalities, no matter what their repair needs.
“We look forward to helping municipalities and commercial property owners with Dr. Pave’s seamless repair process,” said Dworsky. “As we demonstrated in the city of Redlands, this method of repair stands above the rest, offering an incredibly quick, cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to any problem. We expect to continue creating smoother drives for Southern California drivers and providing optimal repair services that deliver cost savings to local taxpayers.”
