CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2011 opens next week in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA – September 16, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2011, the state’s largest trade show, opens next week at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. Running Sept. 20-22, CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2011 features more than 70 cutting-edge seminars on topics ranging from social media, to short sales, and the millennial generation. EXPO 2011 will also feature more than 150 exhibit booths and is expected to attract more than 6,500 attendees.

Wednesday, Sept. 21
“Where are the Loans?”
9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Moderated by C.A.R. CEO Joel Singer, a panel of lenders from some of the country’s top banks will share its take on the current lending landscape and where to find the right loans for clients.
“2012 Housing Market Forecast Luncheon”
12 noon – 1:30 p.m.
C.A.R. Vice President and Chief Economist Leslie Appleton-Young presents the Association’s 2012 Housing Market Forecast. Appleton-Young will share insights about California’s housing market, including projected home sales, median prices, housing affordability, and mortgage rates and availability.
“The Keys to Closing Short Sales Quickly”
8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Santa Clarita, Calif., REALTOR® Neal Weichel will share tips on how to streamline and close short-sale transactions.
Thursday, Sept. 22
“50 Websites in 50 Minutes”
1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
C.A.R.’s chief technology officer, Josh Sharfman, will give a rundown of free and low-cost websites that will help REALTORS® be more productive.
“The Next Phase of Social Media”
3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Ginger Wilcox will show REALTORS® why social media matters, what platforms are best, how to engage audiences, and find new business opportunities.
Additionally, the Exhibit Hall for CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2011 opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20. More than 150 exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge products and services that help REALTORS® streamline and grow their real estate business.
