CalHFA’s Executive Director Participates in Yearlong Leadership Program
One of only 60 women leaders chosen from California
SACRAMENTO, CA – (RealEstateRama) — Tia Boatman Patterson, the California Housing Finance Agency’s Executive Director, joined Leadership California’s class of 2016 for their California Issues & Trends Program. This yearlong program includes 60 women from across the state who meet their criteria for accomplishment, diversity and knowledge, to participate in a rigorous leadership program.
Ms. Boatman Patterson has led CalHFA for a year and a half, with new affordable housing programs launched under her watch, complementing increases in financial ratings from bond ratings agencies. She is committed to engaging with mortgage lenders, affordable housing developers, state and local housing agencies, advocacy organizations, public officials and private financing markets so that more Californians will have a place to call home.
The California Issues & Trends Program provides focused programming for women leaders, exposing them to critical public and private sector issues and trends facing California, from national and global perspectives. It connects women leaders from across the state with each other and with top decision-makers, thought leaders and practitioners, giving them the opportunity to make lasting connections with a network of peers. The 1,500 Alumnae have improved leadership skills, enabling them to contribute more fully to California’s vision for the future and to the communities and companies in which they live and work.
“I’ve already learned so much from my classmates about how they inspire employees, build and maintain partnerships and make their organizations better,” said Boatman Patterson. “This has already been an extremely valuable experience, and I’m looking forward to putting my new skills to use.”
Leadership California began in 1992 with a dream to inspire, inform, and advance women leaders who would influence California’s future. It provides a critical pathway for successful women who care about advancement, achievement, and significance. These women are not only talking about change, but will be part of making it happen.
