SACRAMENTO – (RealEstateRama) — The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®’ (C.A.R.) Center for California Real Estate (CCRE) is partnering with the University of California Center Sacramento to sponsor, “Housing Affordability in California: Current Challenges and Potential Policy Solutions” in an effort to address the state’s rapidly declining homeownership rate.

The event, held on April 28, is part of the UC Center Sacramento’s (UCCS) weekly public lecture series by UC faculty on a variety of public policy issues and is primarily focused on policy solutions and the social consequences of housing affordability.

Featured speakers include Michael Lens, assistant professor of Urban Planning in the Luskin School of Public Policy at UCLA, who will address the social consequences of housing affordability; and Kerry Vandell, Dean’s Professor of Finance and director of the Center for Real Estate at the UC Irvine Merage School of Business, who will address policy solutions.
