Three additional associations of REALTORS join calREDD

Amador County, Paradise, and Plumas associations of REALTORS® join calREDD™, the statewide Multiple Listing Service

LOS ANGELES, CA – August 3, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — calREDD™ today announced that the Paradise Association of REALTORS®, Amador County Association of REALTORS®, and Plumas Association of REALTORS® have joined calREDD™, the statewide Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

calREDD™, an acronym for California Real Estate Dynamic Data, embodies the long-term vision of creating one database for all California real property, with advanced technology that goes beyond current MLS systems.

“The Paradise Association of REALTORS® is passionate about joining calREDD™,” said Allan MacDonald, president of the Paradise Association of REALTORS®. “We feel that this vision of creating one database for all California real property will be an enormous benefit to our members and clients.

“The advanced technology goes far beyond our current MLS system, and will provide our members with easier access to listing information throughout most of California,” MacDonald said. “The name calREDD™ California Real Estate Dynamic Data says it all!”

“The Amador County Association of REALTORS® chose to join calREDD™ because we believe it will provide a competitive edge to all its participants throughout the state,” said Amador County Association of REALTORS®’ President Albert Bozzo. “With its cutting-edge design and functionality, we feel that calREDD™ is the future of multiple listing services in California.”

“We are pleased to join calREDD™ and provide our members with a proprietary interest in all real estate information, which is essential in today’s business climate,” said Tim O’Brien, president of the Plumas Association of REALTORS®. “It has always been our task to provide quality services to our members, and in turn, to their clients. This step will enable us to bring the latest MLS technology to our members in a user-friendly format.”

The statewide MLS will allow brokers and agents to access the statewide data through any participating AOR or MLS. Associations and MLSs may be part of the system by using the new vendor as their primary software or under a hybrid arrangement using an association’s existing vendor connecting to the statewide system through calREDD™ for the rest of the data. To date, associations of REALTORS® and MLSs around the state representing more than 120,000 members have recognized the importance of a statewide MLS and have either joined calREDD™ or signed a statement of intent to participate in this critical endeavor.

The Paradise Association of REALTORS® was chartered in 1955 by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) and has operated continuously since that time. Its purpose is to enhance members’ ability to conduct business successfully.

The Amador County Association of REALTORS® was incorporated in 1970 to serve the real estate needs of its members and their clients in the Motherlode foothill communities of Amador and surrounding counties of California.
