C.W. Driver-Built Library Earns LEED Gold Certification

San Diego, CA - September 21, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- C.W. Driver’s work building the Ramona Library in the San Diego town has resulted in the 21,000-square-foot structure being granted LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. C.W. Driver, a premier builder serving the Western U.S. since 1919, left its environmentally conscious mark on the Tuscan and Southwestern-style building, which is the second-largest library in San Diego County. It opened this spring and is four-times larger than the original library it replaced.

C.W. Driver Enters its First SBA Mentor-Protégé Agreement

Driver has entered into an SBA (Small Business Administration) mentor-protégé agreement with Hubzone, an Inland Empire-based contractor. It is the first such partnership for C.W. Driver, which will use the union to pursue projects in the federal/military sector while supporting Hubzone in areas such as marketing and management.

C.W. Driver to Build $40 Million Student Recreation Center at Cal Poly Pomona

Pomona, CA - July 13, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- C.W. Driver, a premier builder serving the Western U.S. since 1919, is the construction manager at-risk for a new, $40 million Student Recreation Center at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in the Southern California town. Funded through student body fees, the LPA Inc.-designed, 120,000-SF facility will be built by C.W. Driver to LEED Gold standards and is slated to break ground in July 2012.
